Easy Artichoke Dip

    MAIN INGREDIENTS

    1/3 cup mayonnaise
    1 8 oz. package of cream cheese, softened
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    10 drops hot pepper sauce
    1 14 oz can artichocke hearts, drained and coarsely chopped
    2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (1 1/2 cups for main dish, 1/2 cup for topping/garnish)
    1/2 medium tomato, cubed
    2 tbsp green onion, sliced diagonally


    INSTRUCTIONS

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    In a large bowl, beat the mayonnaise, cream cheese, garlic, and hot pepper sauce until smooth
    Stir in the artichoke hearts and 1 1/2 cups of cheese. Spread the mixture into an oven-safe
    dish. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until heated thouroughly. Sprinkle the top with 1/2 cup of
    cheese, the tomato, and the green onion. Return the dish to the oven and bake until the cheese
    has melted. Serve hot with tortilla chips, pita bread, etc.
